Mission

Heart Flower, Inc. (HFI) is a 501(c)(3) family foundation dedicated to empowering children in Milford, DE, and surrounding communities. Our mission is to ensure every child—especially those facing significant life challenges—has the support, mentorship, and resources needed to explore their unique gifts and reach their full potential. We believe that no child should be held back from opportunities for growth and enrichment due to a lack of access. Through encouragement, guidance, and advocacy, HFI opens doors to possibilities that help children thrive.

The ultimate goal of HFI is to bridge the gap between the children and them knowing the love of our father.

This means knowing the truest version of themselves, their talents, gifts, purpose and destiny.

HFI is working on three projects to better enhance the lives of our children. Journey Me is a support project geared toward providing resources for children to become or remain active in the area of arts and sports. Every child should have the opportunity to explore activities and realize their innate skills and abilities. This can be a source of fulfillment and focus and provide a sense of self-esteem and purpose. 

As important as being active is learning. Children should love to learn. Reading is learning and knowledge. HFI is exploring ways to make reading attractive through our Heart Flower Reads project. We will begin at home by supplying materials for learning at no cost to families.

Lastly, we know the environment is a key component to the success of these ventures. Not only do we want to provide resources to assist with activities and at-home learning, but we also want to create another safe space for children to come and hone their skills. We call this project The Palace. A building fund. The Palace is where it all begins.
